Do you allow group bookings?

We do not allow multiple cabin bookings to one family or group, this includes birthdays, anniversaries, stagettes, reunions, etc.

As we host Wellness Retreats and Intimate Weddings, we limit our group bookings to these organized events.

We do not allow any unregistered guests on the property. Use of cabins and property amenities including the beach is exclusively for the use of our cabins guests. This is to ensure all of our guests can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful retreat here at White Lake Cabins. If you want to visit with friends or family in the area, please plan to meet elsewhere.

No, we only have the four cabins available to our guests.

Do you have RV or tent sites?

Check in is 4pm, check out is 10am.

Early check in/check out times may be available at an additional charge of $25. Please contact us for availability.

What are the check in/out times?

As we live on the property, we are most likely always here and will either greet you upon arrival or have the cabin unlocked for you in the event we are not around when you arrive.

How do we get access to the cabins?

The booking fee will be fully refunded if guest cancels 60 days prior to booking date. 50% refunded if cancelled 30 days prior to the Check-in Date. No refund if cancelled after the 30 days prior to booked date unless cabin is able to get booked. Due to the constant changes during covid, the cancellation policy is constantly updated on Airbnb, our primary booking engine. If there is any discrepancy, airbnb’s policy will take precedence over the websites policy.

What is the cancellation policy?

None of the cabins are lakefront, however, they are less than a minutes walk to the private beach, all on private property. Safe for kids as there are no roads to cross.

Are the cabins lakefront?

Unfortunately, our cabins and property are not pet friendly as we have a small farm with free range chickens and goats roaming around, as well as horses. We would be happy to recommend a dog kennel that is 10 minutes away from the cabins. We highly recommend it as we use their services when we travel and cannot bring our dog!

Yes, there are no stairs required to access the cabins. The path to the cabins is all gravel rock, we use our chariot stroller with ease on the paths. However, access to the private beach has a steady incline and may be a bit challenging for people with limited mobility. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions regarding this, we are happy to help!

Yes, each cabin has their own private fire pit. Please note: summers in the Shuswap have a high chance of fire bans as it gets very dry in the hot summer months. There is a zero tolerance or any open fires, any open flame is banned, this includes tiki torches with citronella scent for bug repelling. We recommend our guests bring propane fire pits as they are peritted during fire bans.

Are there fire pits?

Yes, our kiddos manage this side of the business :) They have bins for a minimum donation of $10 each, approximately 8-10 split pieces of wood. Each includes kindling, matches, and paper.

You are welcome to bring your own firewood. If you do bring your own, please make sure it is all pre cut as we do not appreciate wood chips on the landscaped gravel as well as the possibility of the aggregate patio floors to chip.

Do you sell firewood?

Our cabins come fully furnished. The only thing you need to bring is food, seasonings and oils used for cooking, aluminum foil, saran wrap, ice, beverages, clothes, personal hygiene items, and beach towels.  We provide filters for our drip coffee makers but you will need to bring your own coffee, creamers, and sweeteners of choice. We have some complimentary teas in each cabin.  We provide fully furnished kitchens, including cooking utensils, pots, pans, blender, toaster, slow cooker, plates, glasses, dishtowels, dish detergent, linens, bath towels. We do not provide beach towels and ask that you bring your own. There will be a $25 charge if guests use the bath towels on the beach. We supply the gas for the outdoor bbq’s. Although the cabins are toasty warm in the winter, we recommend you bring your favourite slippers or wooly socks as the floors can be a bit cool.

What do we need to bring?

As soon as you check in, your retreat starts now! Our quiet hours are between 9am - 8am. Regardless of quiet times, we ask all of our guests to keep voice levels low when they are outside. This is to ensure that our neighbours and other cabin guests can enjoy the peacefulness of lake life. Noise travels very quickly at the lake and we ask that this rule is respected.
